Control your car when you’re next to it or miles away. Remote start5 the engine (if equipped), lock and unlock the doors,6 honk the horn, flash the lights, and more—right from the myVW app. Plus, you can sync your app with your Alexa to simply enable remote voice commands at home.

We won’t leave you stuck on the side of the road. Whether you run out of gas, have a flat tire, or are faced with a dead battery, you can use myVW to request Volkswagen Roadside Assistance. A battery jump, tire change, or tow is just a few taps away.

Help keep tabs on your car when others take it for a drive, with custom boundary, speed, curfew, and even valet alerts (requires VW Car-Net activation).
Last parked location8
Forgot exactly where you parked? No need to wander around the parking lot. Use your myVW app to find your car—wherever you left it (requires VW Car-Net activation).

You can find a parking space more easily with Parkopedia®. The popular off-street parking app’s information is integrated directly into your myVW app (requires VW Car-Net activation).
Enrollment instructions
If your dealer initiated your enrollment, you’ll receive:
- A text message with a link to review and accept the Terms of Service
- An email with a link to create your Volkswagen ID password
Click on each of the above and follow the prescribed steps. Then:
- Download the myVW app10 from your app store
- Log in with your email address and password
- Your new Volkswagen should show up automatically in the app
- Create a four-digit PIN
- Activate Volkswagen Car-Net1 to enjoy 5 years of remote features, such as remote start5, remote lock/unlock6, and last parked location8
If your dealer did not initiate your enrollment:
- Download the myVW app10 from your app store
- Click “Sign up” and enter your email address and a password
- Once you accept the Volkswagen ID terms, you’ll get an email with a link
- Click on the email link and then follow the steps to set up your account
- If you do not see your car in the app:
- Enter the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) found on the driver’s side of the dashboard—you can see it through your windshield
- Then verify your ownership by using the app to scan the QR code or enter the registration code—the app will advise which method is required for your vehicle
- Both items can be found in your vehicle’s infotainment screen at: Menu > Settings > VW Car-Net online services > Registration
- Create a four-digit PIN
- Activate Volkswagen Car-Net to enjoy 5 years of remote features1—such as remote start5, remote lock/unlock6, and last parked location8

- If you do not see your car in the app:
- Enter the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) found on the driver’s side of the dashboard—you can see it through your windshield

- Go to vehicle, select Menu on touchscreen
- Select "Users" from vehicle touchscreen
- Select "Add Primary User"
- Log in through VW ID either by QR Code or Email
